Hurricane Milton
Last Update: 10/9/24 7:00 PM
Hurricane Milton is forecasted to have passed our area tomorrow morning with minimal residual impact.
Yeshiva will be open tomorrow, Thursday, October 10th, and will follow a regular Thursday schedule. (This will include Mishmar for 4-5B; there is no night seder scheduled for BMS.)
Of course, we will assess our campuses tomorrow morning to ensure they are ready for regular operations. If anything significantly changes overnight, we will update our parents and staff accordingly.
While Yeshiva will Bezras Hashem be open, a determination has not yet been made regarding morning bus service. High winds can affect the stability of large vehicles like school buses. Golden Apple is closely monitoring conditions and will inform you in the morning whether the buses will operate. Afternoon bus service is expected to run as usual. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you feel that travel conditions are unsafe in your area, please prioritize your safety, stay home, and take all necessary precautions. Student lates and absences will be marked as excused.
Our thoughts and Tefillos are with those affected by this storm. We are certainly grateful for the chessed HaShem has shown to all of us in Southeast Florida.
